Knijah Knowles

Knijah Knowles joined the faculty of the Eugene Dupuch Law School in August 2022, as Course Director for Trial Advocacy I. Ms. Knowles holds a Bachelor of Science Economics Laws (Hons) (2007) and a Bachelor of Laws (Upper Second Class Honours) (2010) both from The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Barbados. Ms. Knowles received the Legal Education Certificate from the Eugene Dupuch Law School (2012) and was placed on the Principal’s Roll of Honour having attained six or more “A” grades. She was called to The Bahamas Bar in 2012.

Ms. Knowles is Manager, Legal & Corporate Affairs at Scotiabank (Bahamas) Ltd. She was formerly Senior Associate at McKinney Bancroft & Hughes where her practice included trust and dispute resolution. She is also a former judicial clerk to the President, Court of Appeal of The Bahamas and former legal officer to the President of the Caribbean Court of Justice.

Ms. Knowles is a member of the University of the West Indies Rights Advocacy Project, The Bahamas Crisis Centre, the Rotary Club of Nassau Sunrise, and a tutor with Project Read Bahamas.
