This course, which is designed for individuals currently employed as legal assistants or those aspiring to enter the field, presents fundamental concepts of law and general legal practice with emphasis on the role of a Paralegal.
The course will provide participants with a broad overview of the law, the legal profession and general legal practice in The Bahamas. By the end of this course participants will be equipped with foundational legal knowledge and practical skills essential for providing effective support to legal practitioners.
Certificate in Corporate Directorship
BEGINS OCTOBER 19th, 2024
This course will equip executives and professionals, who currently serve, or wish to serve on Corporate or Statutory Boards, with the knowledge required to excel as directors of a company.
The course will provide participants with an understanding of board management and strategy, including an overview of financial reporting and internal controls. By the end of this course participants will have the ability to harness critical management and strategic skills to provide effective leadership and decision-making skills to the corporate management of a company.
Justice of the Peace Course
BEGINS SEPTEMBER 14th, 2024
Please Note: The Justice of the Peace Certificate Course will only be delivered face to face.
This course provides current Justices of the Peace, and those seeking to become Justices of the Peace, with knowledge of various aspects of the law necessary to effectively execute their duties. Course participants will also be taught how to draft various legal documents, and gain an increased understanding of the functions and responsibilities of a Notary Public.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to competently address various issues that Justices of the Peace confront and to design a variety of simple legal documents.
