Gerald Sawyer

Associate Tutor – Law Office Management Accounting & Technology (Accounting)

Gerald Sawyer, an Associate Tutor for Law Office Management Accounting & Technology at the Eugene Dupuch Law School studied at the London School of Accountancy in England. He qualified for a professional certification with The Association of Certified and Corporate Accounts (ACCA) in 1979. He is also a graduate of The Kellogg School of Management Advanced Executive Program. In subsequent years he became a Fellow of The Association of Certified and Corporate Accounts (FCCA); and is past President of The Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Currently, Mr. Sawyer is Partner of the accounting firm, G. A. Sawyer & Company. He is involved in community and church affairs, having served as Treasurer of St. Agnes Anglican Parish Church and Chairman of the Diocese’s Outreach Ministry. As a trained Counsellor, he worked in the youth ministry of the Anglican Diocese for many years. He has served as Treasurer and President of The Bahamas Red Cross Society and was an Executive of the Caribbean Cooperative of the Red Cross. He is an active member of The District Grand Lodge of The Bahamas Scottish Constitution; the District Grand Lodge of The Bahamas and Turks English Constitution in Freemasonry; and The Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.
