To be eligible for admission, applicants must be in possession of an approved qualification.

1. A degree from a University or institution recognized by the Council of Legal Education as being equivalent to the degree of Bachelor of Laws of the University of the West Indies; and 
2. Hold either:

• a qualification which, had it been obtained prior to October 1, 1972, would have been recognized by all participating territories as a qualification to be admitted to practice as a barrister or solicitor in those territories; or
• A qualification obtained in a common law jurisdiction for admission to practice in that jurisdiction and which qualification is approved by the Council; and 
• furnish a certificate of good standing from a competent authority in the jurisdiction where they have been admitted to practice.

Applicants for the 6-month programme must submit the following with their applications

• An official and complete transcript sent directly from the institution, addressed to the Registrar of the Eugene Dupuch Law School.
• Original certificate of admission to practice law sent directly from the institution, addressed to the Registrar of the Eugene Dupuch Law School.
• Original Certificate of Good Standing sent directly from the institution, addressed to the Registrar of the Eugene Dupuch Law School.
• Certified Copy of Birth Certificate.
• Certified Copy of Passport.
• Deed Poll and/or Marriage Certificate, if there have been name changes.
• 3 passport-sized colour photographs taken within the last six months.
• Non-refundable, non-transferable application fee of US $150 paid via Bank Draft/Manager’s Cheque made payable to the Eugene Dupuch Law School. Cash, equivalent currencies, personal cheques and money orders will not be accepted. 
• 2 References: References should be sent directly to the Registrar of The Eugene Dupuch Law School. Referees must be: A judge of the superior court, Attorney-At-Law of at least 7 years’ experience, Magistrate, Principal of an Educational Institution.
