Legal Education Week 2020
Held under theme “The New Age Attorney: Bridging the Gap Between Then and Now”, students of the Law School held a series of events during the 2020 Legal Education week. Students and faculty of the Law School paid a courtesy call on the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of The Bahamas, the Hon. Mr. Justice Brian M. Moree QC. Amongst other things, the Chief Justice spoke to the students on the proposed new civil procedure rules and artificial intelligence. Other events of the week included the Hon. Justice Stephen Isaac Speech and Debate Competition for high school students, Advocacy Skills seminar and a seminar day which included presentations on emotional intelligence; soft skills for the attorney; stress management and coping skills; building your brand ; the art of small talk and a panel discussion on resume writing and the interview process.
