EDLSSA LAUNCHES AWARENESS FRIDAYS

The Eugene Dupuch Law School Students’ Association (EDLSSA) Social Affairs Committee has launched ’Awareness Fridays’, a campaign to increase the awareness of the important social, physical and mental health issues that affect our society.

On the third Friday of each month students and staff will wear Cause Awareness Colours to demonstrate their support.  “The committee will conduct awareness activities, and both staff and students will also be asked to donate to the cause,” explained first year student and Committee Chairperson, Cyd Ferguson.

In October, the committee supported breast cancer awareness and collected donations for persons affected by Hurricane Joaquin. In the coming months, the following issues will be highlighted:

November – Domestic Violence (purple)

December – Prostate Cancer (light blue) and Ovarian Cancer (teal)

January – Bipolar Disorder (green)
