Kristina Wallace-Whitfield Internship – Caribbean Court of Justice

Year II Student Kristina Wallace-Whitfield has completed her internship with the Caribbean Court of Justice and had this to say about her internship:

My experience at the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) was second to none; it was rigorous and enriching. The staff at the CCJ were warm and welcoming, as were the people of Trinidad & Tobago. While at the Court I had the opportunity to interact with various Judges of the CCJ and I was exposed to a wide spectrum of legal activities. I also interacted with students from the Norman Manley and Hugh Wooding Law Schools and, as interns, we were required to participate in orientation activities which enabled us to become aware of the various branches within the Court so that we may understand and appreciate the importance of that branch to the Court.  Based on the intellect of the Judges, the technology and progressive thinking within the Court I am without a doubt that the CCJ should be the final appellate court of all countries within the region.”
