DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Eugene Dupuch Law School\, the Caribbean Association of Judicial Officers (CAJO)\, and APEX – The Caribbean Agency for Justice Solutions (APEX)\, partnered to produce a series of Law & Society Webinars that addressed a number of pressing regional issues fundamental to the development\, prosperity and the continued success of all Caribbean peoples. \n  \nThe first webinar\, also held in partnership with The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism\, was designed to address the impact of COVID-19 on regional tourism and the legal implication of reopening Caribbean borders\, policy considerations regarding tourism\, employment\, economic revenue\, and country border concerns due to the global pandemic.  The panelists\, who presented on matters related to policy\, law\, and industry considerations were Dr. Terrance Farrell\, Former Chairman\, Economic Advisory Board (Trinidad & Tobago)\, Mrs. Joy Jibrulu\, Director General\, Ministry of Tourism and Aviation\, and Mr. Emile Leiba\, President of The Jamaican Bar Association. Mr. Jerome Sawyer\, Broadcast Journalist\, served as moderator.  Presentations covered issues such as implications and consequences of reopening\, countries’ resources – court systems\, judiciary\, law enforcement\, hospital systems\, residents\, and visitors. \n  \nWATCH AGAIN[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
