The Community Legal Aid Project (CLAP) is a collaboration between the Eugene Dupuch Law School Legal Aid Clinic, The Office of the Attorney-General of The Bahamas, The Bahamas Bar Association, and the Caribbean Association for Justice Solutions. The Programme’s objective is to improve the access to legal aid throughout The Bahamas and seeks to leverage technology to connect members of the public with legal counsel.
Through CLAP, teams of volunteer attorneys, paralegals and law students will be deployed into communities where there is greatest need to meet with members of the public and provide free legal consultations and advice. In addition to face-to-face consultations, CLAP will also facilitate online legal consultations.
CLAP will host its community legal aid clinic of its on Saturday, October 29th, 2022, at the Columbus E.P. Roberts Primary School on Lincoln Boulevard & Miami Street from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
