MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER CHALLENGES EDLS STUDENTS TO CREATE CHANGE

Friday, February 24, 2017 was a day to remember for students of The Eugene Dupuch Law School. International motivational speaker and trainer, Mr. Andre J. Norman, addressed students on the topic of “Social Justice: Creating Cutting-Edge Interventions”. However, it was not your typical academic lecture. In an interactive session, students were challenged to consider whether they were just adopting the status quo and managing problems or whether they were going to solve problems and create cutting-edge solutions. Mr. Norman gave students several examples from his life and work in different countries as the starting point of envisioning the sort of change that they could create for their own communities. He challenged students not to just strive for a 9-5 job but to aim to make a difference and he gave them some strategies towards achieving their goals.
