There is a small but growing collection of in-house digital material that includes all of the Law School’s past examination papers. The Library also subscribes to online legal databases that are available to our staff and students only.
The Library’s text book collection consists mainly of textbooks identified as recommended reading for the Law School’s students. The books are shelved according to the Moys Classification Scheme. Reference materials are also available for consultation in the Library only.
Journals are not loan items, and are only available for use in the Library. This collection consists mainly of titles from the United Kingdom but includes several Caribbean Titles. The acquisition of additional legal journals published in or about the legal systems in the Caribbean is an important part of the collection development policy.
Law Reports are only available for use in the Library. This is a core collection which includes English law reports and law reports originating from the English speaking Caribbean. The Library also subscribes to the online versions of these reports.
The Library’s legislation collection is for internal use only. Acquisitions in this area are primarily geared towards coverage of the legislation of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and the English speaking Caribbean.
